Monday to Friday (9-13)

On Monday, I took my kids to buy their shoes. They've outgrown theirs in 5 months.
I got one for me, too. Even though I haven't outgrown mine at all.

The little one still enjoys playing at the children's playground.

On the 10th, Tuesday, my husband and I went walking. We eat out for breakfast and stopped by the library
before heading home. This is a model for Frankenstein creator's house.
I also borrowed movie from the library.
THE EXPERIMENT with Adrien Brody and Forest Whitaker started out slow, but
picked up pace after 25 minutes.
It was an interesting thriller movie

The view from TOWNIVIEW High School Health Magnate. My daughter is applying because right now she is
interested in psychiatry. She also wants to keep playing violin and drawing pictures...and this science magnate
school offers strong program in all her interests.

On Thursday, I went back to my old alma mater, The University of Texas at Dallas.
I went to get my transcript for my application to Law School. I still have not finished my personal statement
It's about the only thing I'm missing. Actually, one more recommendation letter, too.

Still at UTD, this used to be the walkway I ran through to get to my classes in time. It didn't have this cool
reflecting pool then. Just boring red bricks.

This was on Friday the 13th. My husband called from work to have me check out the first interesting skies
we have since the weekend. Friday the 13 is also my son's 13th birthday.

On the way to see a movie called SHAME with Michael Fassbender

It took me awhile to figure out that I took this picture while I am in the car...so I guess the
reflection is from the windshield. I take a lot of drive-and-shoot...hence my penchant for small camera
which I can point and shoot

This was at Lewisville alke when I finally woke up early enough to enjoy the sunrise.
I didn't think to take picture until I had my fill of the awesome skypainting which changes by the second.

New Year Trails Hike

We stopped by at the peninsula about two miles out into the shoreline trail. Water was nice and clear

My son showing me a nice round rock he found. It's very rocky, but still a fun day out

Here's my older two and they were trying their hands at climbing the easy cliffs around the lake.
I was a little scare but it was nice to see them all adventurous.

We've got some boring skies lately. I guess boring is okay because there's still the tree limbs in all its naked glory. More sky watch over here.

The tree next to my driveway. It looks funny because it was trimmed to avoid the power lines.

One afternoon, I got tired reading.My husband's head is on my lap. He's snoring. So, I took a picture of myself. Or rather just a piece of me. But it wasn't extra ordinary, so I played around with filters and drawing aps on my iPhone and came up with this. I even color my lips red, because why not? After I'm through, I really like the picture of me which is not quite me.

I didn't manage to get a family portrait this year. That's how disorganized or busy I was/am this year. But, I've finally finished addressing and sealing my cards. That's goodness that Hanukkah is not over for another 6 days, or it will be late, again. I think I got everyone in there. No family pictures this year. But considering how almost everyone in my send list is on Facebook, I think they know how my kids and I look like. :)

That's El Centro College to the right.

I used to go this school.It's a 2-year college. I was 19 and new to Texas. I don't know how to drive, so I took the bus to here. I did very well in this school. It paved the way to a full scholarship at a University of Texas as Dallas. Good times. That tall building is the Green building because it's all lit up in green at night. One of the tallest building of downtown Dallas. I took this picture on the way home from taking LSAT last December 3.

First Camp Out

This camp out is from mid November. I'll probably take my kids camping again. It seems fun...there was no mud and bug, which is a big factor for me.

Fishing on a Windy Day

He told me that the fishes are probably hiding because they're scared of the waves.

My 5 years old decided to go fishing on a day that's very windy

So windy in fact, that the lake looks more like an ocean in a middle of a storn

Of course, we didn't catch any fish, but he sat there and tried for half-an-hour and seem content enough about it

That's a happy face to tell me that he's happy to be fishing even if there is no fish

I love flowers, and it's fun taking pictures of them. I noticed though that I cannot seem to get a good picture of my rose bush or tree in this case as it is now taller than even my husband. More flowers here.

This is my 7 years old at the lake. He's having so much fun. This is from his first boy scout camp out. It was cold most of the time, so I don't think he wore his uniform the whole time! I took this pictures with my iPhone. Camping was on Nov 11.

The Blur

I do not like blur in pictures, but this is the best I can get last Friday night
My kids hardly ever stay still for pictures. I wonder if DSLR might fix that problem.
Sometimes, I would really like to have a decent picture...at least one after 6 takes.

Taking out my boys to dinner. Unfortunately, they can't wear their favorite light shoes.
There was whining, and other things.
However, I manage to get them out of my house.
Taking pictures of 2 kids out of 5 was all I got.
Still we had a fun dinner and a nice walk afterwards.

Science Night

They love playing with magnets and stayed at this table for half an hour.
Good thing I have my book. I read while waiting for them.

Homework Time

In case you are noticing the chair, well, that's shabby chic without having to spend money on it.
It turns out that my children love making my chairs "shabby"

Trick or Treat

About the only decent picture I have for Halloween. It was dark and iPhone camera
doesn't do too well in the dark. I edited these to looks like drawings.

Here's another one. I can barely make out the image, but that's alright.

>I can't figure out why I'm always late for trick or treating. We didn't make it out of our house until quarter to 8. I was a little bit nervous about my kids finding any candies at all. But, they managed. Some houses who set out baskets at this door, those have run out. And no wonder. We were late again. Still, it was lots of fun. Some houses my 5 yo will not even come near because he's spooked by the excellent decorations of goblins and witches. We stopped by 10 houses and call it a night. We gathered over 200 pcs of candies. I guess since we're towards the end of the night, people were giving them lots and lots of candies. Good news! No one got tummy ache. I hope I have stave off tooth decay with vigorous tooth-brushing.

A Day in The Life

Here's my baby. He's crying because he thought his brother,

He's got a strong sense of fairness, and lately he really want to enforce all rules,

My youngest still enjoys dressing up for costumes. I don't think my other kids
enjoy it anymore. I'm not even sure if they ever did
I'm thrilled he enjoys this Thor outfit.

I just wish I have a quicker camera because he almost never sit still for a shot I wanted to take
And if he does, he wants full artistic rights. Meaning he wants me to delete it if the

Being Seven and Second Grade

My 7 year old loves going straight to the trampoline after school. Every single day.

This same child thought he'd found a 4-leaf clover. Every day he looks. I don't know where
he had heard about luck and clover, but he's certainly industrious about his quest

Here's my youngest three. a 4th grader, second grader and kinder. They all like being outdoors.
It's beautiful now because it rains at night, and by morning the sandpile is perfect for castles
and the weather is between 50-80 F

Ordinary Afternoon

This afternoon (Oct 26) when I picked up my kids from school.
It's hard to take a picture of them because they're never standing still at the same time.

And sometimes, when they noticed my camera, this happens

And then again, they pout and that's just normal...oh yeah, and another kid totally disappears from the picture altogether

That's not my car. That just happened to be there when I decided to take some pictures. My pictures are not picture perfect. But if I wait for it to be, I won't have any pictures at all. So here goes with back of the head and side of the head and half of a head. Sometimes, I get lucky and get one picture that's actually quite normal.

Our first catch of the day! We ended up with over a dozen small to medium sized fishes.

I have no idea what these flowers are called. It's my Today's Flowers entry. They just sort of showed up one day about three years ago at the base of my oak tree in my front yard. I thought it won't this year since we had such scorching and dry summer. I wasn't big on watering my grass beyond preventing it from turning into tinder-dry. These are taken by iPhone last Thursday afternoon. I only found the flower because I had to go to my trash and hunt for a $250.00 gas card which I accidentally throw along with my other trash. I got lucky and found the card.

It was almost cool today. In fact, it even rained a little. When I dropped my kids to their school this morning, it was drizzling. I was worried they might get wet. But then the rain didn't even fall long enough to make a puddle anywhere.

These are my kids, after a played around with some color thingy on my iPhone. I do have other two children, but they are middle school and they walk to school. It's hard to catch pictures of them. They're so elusive. I'm going to have to make more of any effort, really. This is my Ruby Tuesday this week.

My first photo Sunday. This is the picture of San Andreas fault. We were on our way to San Francisco. This is the first time I had seen this because we somehow always fly in the dark to and fro. I think this is the biggest fault line. Will have to check on that. I'm a bit hazy on the geography. I mean it's not like I just can't hit 'google' search on that to confirm!

My camera critters post for the week. My daughter and I drove a total of 80 miles to get the habitat in the form of 30 gallon tank, and picked up this bearded dragon from a breeder in the metroplex. My daughter is very happy to get this one. It's a girl, maybe. It's hard to tell. My son is picture below holding this little fella. I also now have crickets in my house because this is what bearded dragon eat. I hope the crickets does not escape their cage because I'm not really partial to bugs in my house.

It's back to school for us since Monday. I really missed having a baby with me constantly. This is my baby. He's 5 years old now. He's in school, no choice about it. However, when I tried to get him into pre-K last year, he quit before 3 months. I don't blame him. His teacher was an excitable person and she freaked him out. Now, he seem to be happy with new school and a much calmer (and sane) teacher. I hope he has a good year.

These are my youngest 3. In my excitement to make sure they're off to a good start in the morning in addition to meeting their teachers, I forgot to take a picture of them. I managed to get take picture in the afternoon when I picked them up. My baby at K grade was let out at noon, so that is why he's out of his uniforms. I played around with tinting in PS Express on my iPhone. I just thought their expressions are pretty funny. It was awfully hot that day and every one just wanted to go home and cool off.

This is Yoav last July 7. He loves riding this bike despite the fact that I have to push him uphill because it does not come with gears. I love biking in San Francisco, despite the hills. There's this rental place at Stow Lake Drive inside the park.

I took my 3rd child to San Francisco. We left on July 3rd. By July 4th, we've rented a bike to ride across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito. We went uphill, downhill, over a bridge, more downhill, a bit of of uphill again...then we have lunch at Sausalito. That was an awesome day. We're too tired to bike back to the city, so we caught a ferry across the bay. It was very fun and excited ride, that's for sure. This is MYM.

Just in case you're wondering if this is the same day or picture as the one below this post...well, I'll let you spot the difference. Let me know if you noticed it. :) I only brought one sweater to San Francisco...by day 4, I have to buy another as I was mostly freezing at their mid-60 F weather.

Vacation With My 9 Year-Old

Took my 3rd child for a one-on-one vacation to San Francisco for a week. We a lot of fun. We missed the rest of our family, but it was still fun. This photo was taken from a bike ride along Beach St heading towards the Golden Gate Bridge. Fun trail to take with lots of opportunity to people watch and build sand castles along the way.

Here are my youngest three. They practically swam and play in the sand until they could no longer see their hands. The sand was fine and mud-less. I definitely want to take my family back there again.

Here's my hubby. He's on babysitting duty. I took my older kids kayaking. I think I like kayaking on a lake better than on an ocean. At least I won't end up adrift at sea when I'm on a lake.

My husband bought me this plant over 4 years ago. Every year they'd die and then come back again. Finally, this year, I get my first blooms. BTW, they die because I'm not so reliable about watering them.

These are my daisies. I think they really are weeds because I never planted them but here they are. They also come back every single year. This is their 4th year. My son, Yoel, called them vampire flowers.

On the way home from work last year, I saw these birds. They always do it around late winter...migrate and stay on wires along some intersections.

This is a few days earlier on an intersection the opposite side of town. There's a certain creepiness to it all.

This is part of the blanket I am making for my 4th child. It consists of 300 little squares. It's almost done putting it all together. I still have teddy bear's ears, eyes, and tassel to make. I tell you, I made 300 squares in less than a week. My deltoids hurt like it never hurt before. Figure that! More MYM here.

My kids at the theater after watching Little Fockers. The two little ones got bored with it, which is very surprising since they sat still and quiet through Harry Potter 7. They're all in a row, and in order EXCEPT for the girl. She's the oldest of them all at 13.

Have You Ever Been Stuck Sky High?

This was from our trip to Las Vegas. One of the very rare times my husband and I went on a trip. Yep, that's me stuck on the zip line, which Las Vegas calls Flight line. The name has something to do with the thickness of the cable.

Do you see that yellowish spot in the picture? That's me. I guess I wasn't heavy enough to go all the way down in this part of the course. The horrible part of being stuck in the zip line was realizing you're not getting off the cable. As I'm realizing that I'm also sliding farther away from the finish line. However, after that initial terror had passed, it was quite nice and peaceful to dangle in the sky that high. While I don't recommend it, I had fun.

My husband took a walk early Monday morning. I took these pictures then with my cell phone camera. These are SOOC as most of my pictures are. Sometimes, I wish I have one of those DSLR cameras even if most of the time, I don't relish having to log those lenses. Check out more skies here.

This is my Thursday challenge on toys. My boys love their sand pile and trampoline. They spend lots of time there. When fall comes, I have to turn the sand and get rid of the leaves, so great exercise for me.

The day I took my children to Lake Grapevine. It was a fantastic day of checking out shoreline, checking under the rocks, and just walking aimlessly about. I changed this to sepia but it's not as 'sepia-ish' as I want it to be. I'm using a free program called Photoscape.

These are my flowers from this summer. I sort of forgot to water them on a regular basis, so they're quite dead now. But hopefully, I can get some more planted so I'll get new batch next year. This time around though, I'll plant them where my sprinkler can get to it.

In a household full of boys, I have to make sure they do their share of picking up, cleaning, and cooking...or it's going to be Cinderella's place over here before she became a princess. Still, I love my mostly male household! The first picture are my boys checking out a carrot cake. The second picture was taken during the summer. The boys on the right are their cousins.

I took this picture with an Olympus camera for underwater. I bought the camera for when we will visit the Great Wolf Lodge indoor water park in the new year. This sky was viewed at North Park Mall in Dallas after my husband and I watched Burlesque. Nice movie, by the way. Have you seen it? Check out for more sky watch over here.

This is my defunct blog. However, my other 'official blog' is no longer good for visiting friends because some hacker somewhere decided to link it to those awful porny sites. I guess GoDaddy can't fix it. Wordpress can't either. A pox to that hacker. Anyway, it's all good because now, I can just start over new.

I took this picture of my daughter outside Half-Price book last summer. She has filled up this drawing book she's holding in her hands by now. Lots and lots of drawing. I better sleep now since I have to be up and working in about 3 hours.

At Redondo Beach

Second day of our trip, and we just changed our Ferry time to Catalina. We drove around LA looking for Boston Market chicken. We found Redondo beach instead. Fun place. You can see those divers in the background. They were trying to save a drowning dummy, and proceeded to administer first aid on 'him'.
